The purposes of our processing of personal data, the types/categories of data and the legal basis for processing your personal data
WHEN YOU USE OUR WEBSITE, WE COLLECT THE FOLLOWING PERSONAL DATA
When you visit the website, we automatically collect information about you and your use of the website, e.g. the type of browser you are using, what search terms you use on the website, your IP address, including your network location, and information about your computer. The aim of this is to optimise the users experience and the function of the website, as well as to undertake targeted marketing, including retargeting through Facebook and Google. This data processing is necessary for us to protect our interests in improving the website and showing you relevant offers and news.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is article 6, paragraph 1 point f of the EU’s General Data Processing Regulation.
When you buy a product or communicate with us on the website, we collect the data you provide, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, payment method, information about which products you buy and may have returned, delivery preferences, and information on the IP address from which the order is made.
This is so that we can deliver the products you ordered and otherwise comply our agreement with you, including being able to manage your rights to return and complain. We may also process information about your purchases in order to comply with legal requirements, including bookkeeping and accounting requirements. Information about purchases is stored. For purchases, we collect the IP address in order to protect our interests in being able to prevent fraud.

When you register for our newsletter, we collect data regarding your name, e-mail address and, possibly, mobile number.
This is to be able to protect our interest in being able to send you newsletters.

Data is collected directly from customers, suppliers and employees. Data is not collected from 3rd parties.
STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA:
We store your personal data for up to a year after the cooperation has ended, or as long as required by law.
WHEN YOU SHOP WITH US, WE PROCESS THE FOLLOWING PERSONAL DATA:
Purpose:
Handling of customer information in connection with the conclusion and implementation of agreements and subsequent invoicing and any debt collection process, as well as delivery.
THE TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS:
When you become a customer of ours, or if you change your engagement with us, we ask you for some information. Among other things, we need to know the company, name, address and company registration number. We are aware that this is very personal information, and that is why, of course, we establish clear rules for how we process such data.
WHERE YOUR PERSONAL DATA ORIGINATE FROM
The customer itself is responsible for providing Schou with the necessary information for handling and supply of various products/services.
At Schou, it is sometimes the case that personal data is provided from a customer about an end user so that we can provide products/services directly to the end user.
STORING PERSONAL DATA
Basically, personal data will be stored by Schou in accordance with the applicable rules, including in accordance with the Danish Accounts Act, for a period of 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the data relates. Personal data will be deleted once it is no longer relevant, and once Schou’s obligation to store personal data has ended.
YOUR RIGHTS
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of your personal data.

Right to view data (right of access)
You have the right of access to the data that we process about you, as well as some additional information.
Right of rectification (correction)
You have the right to have inaccurate information about you corrected.
Right to deletion
In specific cases, you are entitled to have data about you deleted before the deadline of our general deletion policy.
Right to restrictions on processing
In specific cases, you are entitled to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you are entitled to have processing restricted, we may only process the data – apart from storage – with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim, or to protect a person or important public interests.
Right to objection
In specific cases, you are entitled to object to our lawful processing of your personal data.
You can also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing.
Right to transmit data (data portability)
In some cases, you are entitled to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have that data transferred from one personal controller to another without hindrance.
